In 2026, the UR Walpole theme is Electricity.

Through this theme, students will explore the role electricity plays in our daily lives, our community and our future. Learning experiences will connect science, sustainability, design, problem-solving and local knowledge, helping students understand both the practical importance of electricity and the wider environmental and community questions connected to energy use.

As part of UR Walpole, students will engage in hands-on investigations, cross-curricular learning and community partnerships that help them think critically about how energy shapes the way we live now and into the future.
